Promotional advertising brochures from Suters Ltd in the 1960s (6)
In the early 1960s when Suters in Slough had been re-built, a series of promotional brochures were designed to attract customers. Dick Suter in conjunction with ISP in High Wycombe produced the earlier ones.
Initially for the Slough store only, but a similar brochure was later prepared for the Uxbridge one as well.
This is the last brochure we have to illustrate. Dick Suter would have left Suters Ltd then to pursue a career in marketing in Italy. He did return to Suter a few years later and took on the role once again as sales promotion director. The brochure below would have been deisigned by an outside advertising agency with John Suter (Dick's father) having the role of working with the advertising agencies for newspaper advertisements. This brochure has different centre pages to felect the fact that there was not a restaurant or hairdressing salon at Suters in Uxbridge. There was also a combined map of how to find Suters on the back cover. The "store-gazing" theme was now dropped. Instead the letter "S" was used on most pages.
